Who we are

Dog Leg Studios Limited (company number 17176589, registered in England and Wales) runs this website and is responsible for the personal information you give us. If you have any questions, email info@doglegstudios.co.uk.

What we collect

When you book a visit: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, what the visit is for, details about your piece, and the dates and times that suit you.
When you email or call us: whatever you choose to tell us.
If you join our mailing list: your name, email address and, if you tell us, how you heard about us.
When we frame something for you: your contact details, what we made, and payment records. If you pay by card, your card details go straight to our card payment provider. We never see or keep your full card number.
When you visit the site: Squarespace records basic details of your visit, such as the pages you view, your rough location and the type of device. See Cookies below.

Why we use it

To reply to you, arrange visits and do the framing you’ve asked for.
To keep the business records the law requires, including for VAT.
To send our mailing list emails, only if you’ve signed up. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
To see how the site is used and improve it.

We don’t sell your information.

Who we share it with

Only the people and services we use to run the business:

Squarespace, which hosts this website and its forms.
Google, which runs our email.
Our accountant, for VAT and year-end accounts.
The service we use to send our mailing list emails.
Our card payment provider, which processes card payments.

Some of these companies store data outside the UK, using the safeguards UK law requires.

How long we keep it

Booking requests and emails that don’t lead to a job: up to 2 years.
Records of framing jobs and payments: 6 years, as company accounts rules require.
Mailing list sign-ups: until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. Email info@doglegstudios.co.uk and we’ll reply within a month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

The site uses cookies it needs in order to work, and analytics cookies that show us how it’s used. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link at the bottom of each page.
